End Letters

Posted on April 14, 2018May 18, 2018

Statement of purpose

Raven urbane in his coat, raven out to brunch
Raven famous in his poem, poem packs a punch

Boy sees raven, sees himself (a self he’d like to be)
Boy sees mirror, but alas, a raven no sees he

Boy sees vulture, brazen-faced, and has epiphany
Vulture couldn’t care at all, carrion for lunch
